Senior Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Housing Projects
Location: Sites across Cambridge to Letchworth
Type: Full-time | Immediate Start

The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established groundworks and concrete contractor operating across the South East, delivering large-scale industrial and affordable housing projects. Due to ongoing growth, they’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead across 3–4 live housing schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a SQS with groundworks experience to take ownership of early-stage projects and play a key role in successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial aspects of multiple housing groundworks projects
* Support tendering, procurement, and cost planning
* Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and financial reports
* Track variations, payments, and final accounts
* Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
* Maintain contract documentation and financial controls
* Support forecasting, reporting, and contractual compliance
What You’ll Need
* 3–5 years’ experience in a Senior QS role (groundworks/housing preferred)
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* Knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
* Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry software
* Able to manage workload across multiple sites
