This is a diverse role which involves the day-to-day delivery of a high standard of support to the nursing team whilst also working autonomously within competencies, to a population with complex mental health, physical, psychological, substance misuse, and social problems, while maintaining awareness of and compliance with security procedures within the prison setting.
The Clinical Support Worker is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, aiming to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of people in prison, supporting rehabilitation, and contributing to the offender outcome strategy by assisting clinicians in providing high-quality, effective, and efficient care at every stage of the healthcare journey.
Demonstrating high-quality, person-centred care and good team working is essential. A keenness to develop practice with appropriate clinical and interpersonal skills is necessary.
Applications are invited from those with relevant healthcare experience, SVQ3 qualification, and competency in Venepuncture.
This role requires membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.
