Electrical Cable Technician – Wiring Harness & Looms Location: Flintshire, United Kingdom (Onsite, Full-Time) Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Job Description We are looking for a skilled Cable Technician with hands-on experience in the manufacture, testing, and repair of cables, wiring harnesses, and electrical looms for technical systems. The successful candidate will ensure all work meets high-quality, performance, and safety standards while contributing to continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities Manufacture, assemble, and repair complex wiring harnesses, looms, and cables using detailed engineering drawings. Conduct electrical and mechanical testing to verify functionality and assist in troubleshooting faults. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards. Perform crimping, soldering, wire stripping, and heat application with precision and consistency. Inspect completed cable assemblies to verify compliance with design and performance requirements. Collaborate with production and quality teams to enhance efficiency and reliability of outputs. Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering Operations, Aeronautical Engineering, ONC, or recognised apprenticeship. Knowledge of safety procedures for working on live and high-voltage systems. Equivalent military or industrial experience will also be considered. Desirable Experience modifying or repairing a range of electrical components. Proficiency with hand tools for electrical and mechanical assembly. Basic understanding of electronics principles.
