About the Role
Safeguarding & Quality Assurance - Independent Reviewing Officer within Children’s Safeguarding & Review Service. Responsible for chairing child‑led review meetings and overseeing planning for children who have been cared for.
Responsibilities
* Chair child‑led review meetings and oversee planning for children who have been cared for.
* Collaborate with children and their families to drive and influence future plans.
* Oversee children’s plans to deliver better outcomes.
* Advocate best practice in children’s planning in partnership with others.
Qualifications
* Qualified social worker with Social Work England registration.
* Minimum five years post‑qualifying statutory social work experience with children.
* Leadership or supervisory experience.
* Passionate about children and able to demonstrate aspirations for great outcomes for children and families.
* Experience ensuring children and families are actively involved in their child protection planning and co‑produce plans.
* Ability to oversee and review children’s plans and demonstrate impact on children’s safety, success and health.
* Highly motivated to work with children and young people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.

* Proof of right to work in the UK.
* References covering the past three years.
* Proof of qualifications relevant to the role.
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Valid driving licence if required.
* Medical clearance (pre‑placement health assessment).
