Are you aged 16-24 and looking for an opportunity to gain on the job experience whilst working towards a qualification? If so, Perth & Kinross Council seeks motivated individuals who are keen to work with children, whilst gaining an SVQ level 3, Social Services (Children and Young People).
You will work as a member of a team and contribute to the delivery of an integrated approach to children's development in early years within a safe inclusive environment.
During your time on the Modern Apprenticeship Programme you will gain year round work based practical experience & knowledge of various childcare developments & settings, including nurseries, wraparound care and out of school.
This work-based learning will also be supported by regular theoretical learning opportunities delivered by the Early Learning & Childcare Teams.
As a Modern Apprentice with Perth & Kinross Council there are also many opportunities to get involved in corporate events, networking connections events, to participate in charity fundraising and take part in a community volunteering activity.

Skills & Experience Required
If you are an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude who is looking to take that next step into the world of work, then this could be the perfect role for you.
You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a support worker while gaining an SVQ level 3, Social Services (Children and Young People).
