Position: Sales Manager Location: London / southeast About the Company Our client is a UK-based specialist supplier of high-quality hardwood flooring. They have been producing and installing beautiful wooden floors in homes and commercial properties for a number of years, leaving a legacy of happy customers, numerous regular referrals and a growing trade client base. One of the foundations of their growth is the flexibility of what they can offer. They supply plank floors in various width and length options as well as herringbone, chevron and Versailles panels, all in a huge number of in-house designed and produced colours, they can even produce bespoke colours to a client’s request if a more personalised option is needed. Our client services a commercial and residential customer base, predominantly in London and the southeast. The mid-term plan for our client is to substantially grow the business organically. Recent investment has led to a refurbished showroom, and a move to a larger factory. About the Role The UK Sales Manager role principally involves the promotion and specification of wooden flooring products into the Architects and Designers across the region. We need someone to develop robust relationships with these stakeholders, achieved by creating value to the customer by being their "go to" contact for project information, specification detail and where necessary negotiation on contracts. Results will be achieved through developing solid business to business relationships with all business targets on the territory both leading from the front and though liaising with the rest of the team. The UK Sales Manager is responsible for developing all business opportunities within the UK. Key Responsibilities: Achieve profitable sales growth and exceed budget. Identify decision makers within each customer / prospect account and develop strategic business to business relationships. Gain a clear understanding of the customers’ business and requirements. Present products and solutions at every opportunity in a structured and professional way. Follow up new leads and referrals in line with prospecting and pipeline work to create new project identification and exploitation. Provide a local technical advisory support service; be recognised as a resource to the customer base. Prepare ahead of customer meetings, making full use of the company’s Business Intelligence system. Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal sales support functions.
