Barchester Healthcare is looking for an experienced and dedicated Administrator to support the General Manager and ensure the efficient running of a high quality home. This varied role covers customer experience, HR, recruitment, payroll, finance and supervising junior administration staff.
Responsibilities
* Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
* Manage enquiries and showrounds of the home for prospective families, maintaining the customer database to support the commercial performance and conversion of enquiries.
* Drive occupancy and reputation of the Care Home as part of a community engagement team.
* Support resident and family feedback with a focus on customer care.
* Assist with staff recruitment, completing new‑starter checks and arranging inductions.
* Prepare payroll for home‑based staff.
* Provide advice and guidance to employees on queries using the HR tools and resources available.
* Ensure all personal files are stored securely.
* Attend meetings and produce accurate notes and minutes where required.
* Ensure all rotas are complete.
* Manage safe contents, petty cash and resident fund accounts.
* Update ad‑hoc training, supervisions and appraisals on staff records.
* Offer guidance on staff development opportunities, including signposting to Apprenticeships and qualifications.
Qualifications
* Experience in a customer‑facing role.
* Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment.
* High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
