Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating young athletes in the art of gymnastics. This role involves training gymnasts of various skill levels, fostering a positive and encouraging environment, and promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts.
* Instruct athletes on proper techniques for various gymnastics disciplines, including floor routines, vault, bars, and beam.
* Evaluate each gymnast's performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
* Foster a safe and supportive training environment that encourages personal growth and confidence.
* Organise and lead warm-up sessions, drills, and conditioning exercises.
* Prepare gymnasts for competitions.
* Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is clean and safe for all participants.
* Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other staff members regarding progress and any concerns.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in gymnastics or similar disciplines.
* A Level 1 or 2 and above qualification is essential.
* Strong ability to educate athletes on techniques, safety practices, and competition preparation.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
* A thorough understanding of gymnastics rules, regulations, and safety standards.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for training sessions or competitions.
* First Aid certification is desirable but not essential.
