Deputy Nurse Manager Nursing Home
Salary: 53000
Hours: 40 per week (Supernumerary)
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our clients Nursing Home where residents are at the heart of everything we do. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse leader to support the Home Manager in delivering outstanding person-centred care and overseeing the clinical services of a well-established home.
As Deputy Nurse Manager you’ll play an important role in ensuring residents receive safe dignified and high-quality nursing care. Working closely with the Home Manager and a multidisciplinary team you will lead mentor and inspire staff while ensuring full compliance with CQC standards and best practice guidelines.

What We’re Looking For
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin (RGN or RMN).
* Proven experience in a Nursing Home elderly care or long-term care environment.
* Previous managerial or leadership experience within a care home setting is highly desirable.
* Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and care planning skills.
* In-depth knowledge of safeguarding dementia care and CQC compliance.
* Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
* Compassionate patient-centred approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day management of clinical and care staff.
* Lead mentor and develop the nursing and care team promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
* Oversee the creation and review of personalised care plans ensuring they reflect residents individual needs and preferences.
* Act as a role model in delivering evidence-based person-centred care.
* Step into the Home Manager role when required ensuring seamless operational and clinical leadership.
* Supervise care delivery and carry out audits to maintain regulatory compliance (CQC).
* Promote safeguarding dignity and safety at all times.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with residents families and external professionals.
* Assist with staff rotas ensuring safe staffing levels and supporting work-life balance.
* Drive quality improvement staff training and professional development initiatives.
