Working on the front line as an Operations Supervisor you will play an important part in the day-to-day running of Operations at Konectbus – responsible for ensuring consistent high quality service delivery to our customers and ensuring high performance standards from our driving teams across our depots.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the job has a very wide remit which will test your organisational skills as you manage all the activities that fulfil our promise to the customer to follow our advertised timetable, remain smart and presentable and maintain an exceptional level of customer care.
Your people skills will be put to the test too with the requirement to deliver fair and firm leadership, whilst dealing sympathetically with employees who run into difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
Duty allocation, using a computer to forward allocate and ensure duty coverage.
Completing daily vehicle runout, allocating vehicles correctly.
Compiling information, processing and forwarding.
Vehicle defect reporting and carrying out driver compliance checks.
Investigating accidents, customer complaints and conduct matters.
Completing return to work interviews following periods of staff absence.
Maintaining compliance with drivers' hours regulations.
Carrying out drug and alcohol testing.
Maintaining and building on a good working relationship with the engineering department.
Customer communication.
Ensuring company health and safety policies are applied and followed.
Any other tasks as instructed by the management team which will aid the efficient and safe running of the business.
The Person
You will be required to make many decisions in the day-to-day running of the operations office. The majority of these will be based on procedure or good practice but the environment is fast paced and ever-changing, so you will need to be resilient, adaptable and able to make carefully thought through decisions.
You will need to be comfortable using modern technology and understanding data.
Some elements of the role will require independent working, so you will need to be able to work well on your own as well as part of a team.
Being a good leader and setting a great example is essential – be prepared to motivate and lead staff, along with treating everyone fairly and with respect.
You must hold a full PCV Licence and CPC Card, as driving will still play a large part in your role.
You must be flexible, willing to work all hours and committed to delivering only the very best service to our customers.
You will be the first person in the depot each day, so an impeccable attendance record is essential.
Working Pattern
Operations Supervisors will work on rota basis, this may be subject to change depending on the needs of the business. Shifts are based at mostly from our Dereham depot, but you could be required to work at any site, throughout the course of the rota.
