New Directions are currently recruiting for Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in some of our fantastic Primary School settings based in and around the South Manchester and Stockport area.
We are currently recruiting for experienced and dynamic individuals who are passionate about the Early Years and are keen to establish an effective and purposeful learning environment for children at the start of their primary school journey.
The School:
1. One, two & three from entry primary schools located in and around South Manchester and Stockport.
2. EYFS classrooms who require experienced Early Years Practitioners to support learners ages 2- 5 years old (General / SEND positions available)
3. Supportive and welcoming settings where children are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role:
4. Full-time role supporting children in the EYFS classroom under the guidance of the class teacher.
5. Using the EYFS framework to plan and deliver sessions; supporting with the set up of the continuous provision; guiding the children through their Early Learning Goals; supporting with the Teaching and Learning of Early reading (including phonics), writing and mathematics.
6. Supporting children with additional needs, including those of the ASC pathway, children with delays in Speech and Language, those with cognition and processing difficulties; supporting children who speak English as a second language.
The Candidate:
7. Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification Level 2 / Level 3 (Ideally CACHE qualification)
8. 6 months minimum experience working with children in the Early Years classroom (can include working in a day nursery setting).
