Hills Waste Solutions have an opportunity available for a Shift Utility Operative to join our team based at the Northacre Resource Recovery Centre (NRRC) in Westbury. Your key responsibilities as our Shift Utility Operative will include: • Operate mobile plant, including hook lift vehicle, to ensure the continued availability of waste receiving skips in the refinement centre. • Ensure that full skips of process residue are stored and labelled correctly and are ready for collection by transport. • Assist the Baler Operator in the running of the warehouse and despatch of product. • Assist in maintaining fly control equipment in an operational condition with sufficient stock of insecticide (training provided in the handling of these). Normal hours are based on a 40-hour week, from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 8.5-hour shifts Monday to Friday and alternate Saturday mornings. Shift one Monday - Friday 06:00 to14:30 plus 06:00 to 12:00 Saturday Shift two Monday – Friday 13:30 to 22:00 Training will be provided for hook lift vehicle operation, processing plant operation and potentially telehandler and forklift operation. What we’re looking for in our Shift Utility Operative : • Previous experience working within a process plant environment. • Telehandler/forklift certification would be advantageous. • Understanding of current health and safety and environmental requirements.
