Responsibilities
:
1. Manage workloads within the Linwood Garage.
2. Planned 6 weekly safety inspections of fleet.
3. MOT preparation and presentation for test.
4. Immediate and reactive response to daily breakdowns (both mechanical and lifting equipment related) and smaller running repairs when necessary.
5. Local travel to attend fleet in and around the Linwood area for breakdown and roadside repairs.
6. This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role.

9. A good understanding of health and safety, always promoting a healthy & safe environment
10. Physical dexterity: the role is very “hands on” and requires a level of physical fitness.
Experience and Qualifications:
11. Experienced HGV mechanic; a minimum of 5 years’ mechanic experience working on various vehicle types
12. Experience of trucks and trailers
13. Experience of waste recovery vehicles would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Salary and Benefits:
14. Up to £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
15. 45 hours per week
16. Monday to Friday

18. 26 days and 4 statutory days holiday per annum
