Job Description
The Network Integrations Team for Accounts in Visa Direct is responsible for the seamless integration of Visa Direct services with various financial institutions and payment network partners. We enable cross-border payments across the world ensuring that Visa Direct’s capabilities are effectively deployed, maintained, and optimized to facilitate quick, secure and reliable transactions.
This is a Product Owner role focused on Network Expansion. Key responsibilities include supporting and completing key service integration activities, gathering and interpreting business requirements, and identifying and building improvements to Visa’s cross-border network offering.
What we expect of you, day to day
1. Clearly define and communicate the product vision and strategy to ensure alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
2. Actively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure their needs are met throughout the product lifecycle.
3. Be a key driver of the Accounts Network Expansion, engaging with external partners and contributing to Visa Direct’s strategy.
4. Maintain a well-prioritized and transparent product backlog, ensuring it reflects the most valuable features and tasks for the development team. Lead agile/scaled agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
5. Make informed decisions regarding product features, prioritization, and trade-offs, balancing technical feasibility, business value, and customer impact.
6. Ensure the product delivers a high-quality user experience by understanding customer needs, gathering feedback, and iterating on features based on user insights. Drive the standardization of business and integration analysis across multiple markets and countries.
7. Collaborate to set standards and improve data practices across Visa Direct and refine requirements for Payment Network partner integrations.
8. Present complex and critical network feature demos to relevant Visa Direct stakeholders during sprint demos.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
2. 3+ years in a product ownership or scrum master role in an agile team.
3. 5+ years’ experience in the payment industry, including FX, cross-border payments, SWIFT, ACH, ISO 20022, and global instant payments schemes.
4. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required; additional languages are a plus.
5. Proven experience working in an Agile methodology environment (e.g., SCRUM, DSDM, Lean/Kanban).
6. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical and business requirements to diverse stakeholders.
7. Experience in process mapping, data transformation, migration, and reconciliation projects.
8. Good technical understanding of web applications and APIs, with competence in XML, JSON, and basic Java.
9. Strong problem-solving skills for addressing challenges in cross-border payment processes.
10. Ability to manage multiple product requirements concurrently with effective prioritization.
