💰 £25,000 – £40,000 per year (DOE)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Utility Surveyor or Trainee Utility Surveyor to join a well-established surveying business operating across Devon and Cornwall.
Working on a diverse range of projects—from major infrastructure schemes to domestic sites—you’ll gain exposure to a variety of environments and the latest surveying technology, including GPR, CAT & Genny, CCTV, GNSS, robotic total stations, laser scanners, and UAVs.
This role involves a mix of site-based and office-based work, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carrying out utility surveys
2. Undertaking topographic surveys
3. Processing data and producing drawings
4. Conducting CCTV surveys
About You
We’re looking for someone with a practical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across different environments.
Ideally, you will have:
5. 2+ years’ UK experience in topographic and/or utility/CCTV surveys (for experienced applicants)
6. Degree or HNC/D qualification (preferred)
7. Experience using Leica or Trimble survey equipment
8. Knowledge of CAT & Genny, GPR, and CCTV survey methods
9. Experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS
For trainees:
10. Good GCSEs and relevant A Levels or T Levels (including Maths & English)
11. A genuine interest in surveying or engineering
