Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Reviewing and reporting on monthly performance for different areas of the business, ensuring accuracy and clear insights
* Identifying trends, highlighting variances to budget and forecast and making recommendations to improve results
* Partnering with senior managers to influence decision-making and support strategic growth
* Leading regular financial reviews with branches and helping managers understand their numbers
* Supporting the month-end process - including journal preparation, analysis and investigation of anomalies
* Maintaining and developing financial models for forecasting, budgeting and consolidation
* Supporting ad-hoc projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives within finance
* Challenging existing processes and driving efficiencies in how financial data is produced and used
What you will need:
* Previous experience in a similar role, such as Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant / Accountant / Assistant Finance Business Partner
* To be part or fully qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ACA
* Strong Excel skills (advanced level) and strong analytical skills
* To be a confident communicator who can build relationships across all levels of the business
* Curiosity, attention to detail and the confidence to dig into data and ask why
* Commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insight
