You’ll be working for a leading UK civil engineering contractor recognised for delivering large-scale earthworks and infrastructure schemes. Role Overview: We’re looking for a confident and capable General Foreman to join the delivery team on a high-profile infrastructure project in the Aylesbury area. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day supervision of earthworks operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of works across a busy section of the project. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily earthworks operations including cut/fill, haulage, drainage, and ground stabilisation Lead and motivate teams of operators, subcontractors, and site labour Deliver works safely and efficiently in line with project specifications Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inspections Coordinate closely with Engineers and Works Managers to plan upcoming works Maintain accurate daily records of progress and productivity Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role on bulk earthworks or major civils projects Proven track record delivering large-scale earthworks packages Strong technical knowledge of earthworks operations, plant, and haul management Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ideal for an established Foreman or a Senior Ganger confidently ready to step up into a Foreman position Full UK Driving Licence What’s on Offer: £65,000 salary £5,000 car allowance 10% annual bonus Lodge allowance for candidates working away (£21,630 p/a) Private healthcare and generous holiday package Long-term career progression with a respected, forward-thinking contractor Location: Aylesbury area – HS2 project To Apply: If you’re an experienced Earthworks Foreman looking to join a reputable contractor on one of the UK’s biggest infrastructure schemes, we’d like to hear from you.
