LOCATION: Corsham, Wiltshire (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy).
TYPE: Full time.
We are looking for a Satellite Operation Engineer to join Airbus Defence & Space in Corsham, Wiltshire. You will join our Secure Communication business line and report to the Spacecraft Operations Team Lead.

How You Will Contribute To The Team
* Ensure all operational products are ready for the SK6A LEOP and the transition to On‑Station.
* Assess and analyse the health of the SKYNET fleet.
* Advise the Spacecraft Management Authority as SKYNET spacecraft specialist.
* Understand and monitor spacecraft subsystems (platform and payload) through monthly and yearly analysis.
* Provide technical support to spacecraft on‑station operations.
* Write, validate and technically review SKYNET Operating Procedures and associated documentation.
About You
* Spacecraft operation experience.
* An understanding of satellite design and AIT phase.
* Ability to spot trouble and make sound decisions even under pressure.
* Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to report succinctly on all aspects.
