Hours: 07:00-15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00-12:00 Friday (Flexible start options)
We are seeking an experienced, organised, and proactive Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our clients growing team. This hands-on role involves building and testing our range of instruments and assemblies to exacting standards.
Responsibilities
* Interpret engineering drawings for sub-assemblies, with attention to fitting tolerances and critical dimensions
* Assemble complex builds comprising up to 150 components per bill of materials
* Fault-find and diagnose issues, proposing practical solutions
* Identify potential contaminants that may compromise instrument performance
* Work efficiently with a focus on continuous improvement and output optimisation
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong all round Engineering background
* Proficient in CNC machining, manual turning, and sheet metal processes
* Skilled in manual lathe operation and toolmaking for both one-off and batch production
* Competent with engineering measuring tools (e.g., micrometre, digital caliper)
* Familiar with MRP systems (e.g., works order cards, routings)
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Experience with Insigna systems
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet targets
* Detail-oriented with a methodical approach and awareness of 5S principles
* Committed to safe working practices and adherence to H&S protocols
