Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5.
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive, targeted feedback.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations with focused teaching and revision.
Support curriculum planning and development within the Geography department.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
Uphold school behaviour policies and maintain strong classroom management.
Contribute to extracurricular initiatives, including field trips and departmental activities.
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.
Candidate Profile
QTS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
Degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography education.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to differentiate teaching for a range of abilities.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
