Company Description
DaveyLabs is focused on developing experimental energy systems for a low-carbon future, with particular emphasis on hydrogen production, electrochemical processes, and synthetic fuel pathways.
Current work centres on translating early-stage concepts into practical, deployable engineering systems, with a long-term aim of progressing from lab-scale prototypes to pilot and industrial applications.
Role Description
This is a research collaboration opportunity, not a formal employment position.
DaveyLabs is currently developing lab-scale prototype systems for data collection, validation, and iterative testing. The aim is to align early-stage designs with established industry best practice and build a pathway towards pilot and industrial-scale deployment.
The role involves contributing technical insight, practical perspective, and critical review of system design, particularly in areas where real-world industrial experience is essential.
Engagement is flexible and may involve occasional discussions, feedback on concepts, or sharing general engineering experience.
Areas of Focus
* Hydrogen production (PEM electrolysis)
* CO₂ capture and utilisation
* Synthetic fuel pathways (including methanol synthesis)
* Gas handling, compression, and system integration
* Process safety and operational considerations
* Scaling systems from prototype → pilot → industrial
Ideal Background
Experience in one or more of the following:
* Chemical engineering
* Process engineering
* Oil & gas / LNG
* Hydrogen or industrial gas systems
* Chemical processing or energy infrastructure
Practical experience in operating, designing, or scaling real industrial systems is particularly valuable.
Important Note
This opportunity is focused on industry insight and collaboration only.
No confidential or proprietary information is being requested.
