As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and meticulous Finance Officer to join our talented finance team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in financial operations in a fast-paced and exciting environment. ​ ​ We are looking for an AAT (or equivalent) qualified Finance Officer (or part qualified with experience) who is an excel whizz with minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reconciling customer and supplier accounts and contributing to the smooth running of the company’s key financial processes. ​ ​ The Job ​ ​ You will be a team player, speedily processing sometimes complex sales and purchase invoices across our multiple marketing services. You will also enjoy working with and cajoling our client facing teams to raise their POs for purchases, obtain POs for their sales invoices, receipts for credit cards and support them in checking sales invoices as well as answering their queries, as well as those from customers and suppliers. ​ You will be given autonomy to manage your workload, organising and prioritising work to meet monthly financial deadlines. ​ On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for the following; ​ Credit Control: with polite persistence, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding payments either directly with the clients or by working with and enlisting the help of our client facing teams to reduce debtor days Taking ownership of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, supported by and overseeing a part-time Finance Assistant Preparing sales invoices, credit notes and statements Timely and accurate posting of sales and purchase invoices and payments Matching purchase invoices to POs, producing weekly supplier and expenses payment runs Reconciling customer and supplier accounts and resolving discrepancies Developing relationships with customers and client facing teams, handling queries efficiently Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, such as balance sheet reconciliations of prepayments, accruals, accrued and deferred income Preparing financial reports to feed into budget, cashflow and revenue forecasting Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations Assisting with other ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required, such as improvement of processes and systems to automate and streamline ​ ​ The Person ​ We’re a busy and supportive team that needs another trusted member to work closely with our creative PR, PA, Digital, Design and Marketing Services teams to ensure that key financial tasks like invoicing, approvals, and POs are completed accurately and on time. We’re looking for someone who can confidently collaborate with and chase client facing teams to complete their part of the financial process to maintain smooth operations and healthy cash flow. You’ll be the friendly-but-firm force keeping our financial processes on track. ​ You should be an Excel ninja with experience using accounting systems and Microsoft Office products like SharePoint, Word and PowerPoint.
