1. Communicate effectively throughout the day with wards, clinics, and the public.
2. Must have a clean driver's license that permits driving a 3.5-ton vehicle.
3. Maintain the vehicle by carrying out daily checks, logging these checks, and reporting issues to the supervisor or deputy manager.
4. Record information related to the vehicle that is kept in the office.
5. Ensure the vehicle is clean and filled with fuel.
6. Carry out daily checks on the tug truck.
7. External training is required before operating the tug truck.
8. Use judgment when working as a lone worker, which may include changing delivery times or cancelling slots based on circumstances.
9. Plan daily activities based on ad hoc requirements from users.
10. Be trained in using the spill kit when out in the vehicle.
11. Be able to push and pull heavy loads on and off the vehicle.
12. Receive training in cleaning, packing, and sterilising instruments.
13. Prepare for washing contaminated medical devices, including dismantling complex instrumentation according to manufacturer’s instructions and HTM guidelines.
14. Inspect medical devices and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, completeness, and proper assembly against tray specifications.
15. Wrap instrumentation sets and surgical equipment following HTM guidelines and HSDU policies.
