Job Responsibility:
The Manual Handling Educator will work 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £35,392-£42,618. The closing date for this position was 21st July 2024, and the interview date was 31st July 2024.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with teaching skills and a passion for patient safety to work alongside our Manual Handling Tutor. The successful candidate will support the design, development, and delivery of manual handling education programs and core skills training framework requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop the Education Centre as an education resource, providing a safe and effective learning environment.
* Deliver multi-disciplinary manual handling training and education for learners and healthcare staff.
* Develop and evaluate manual handling education programs.
* Develop or facilitate multimedia technology-based education resources relating to manual handling.
* Develop simulation facilities and sessions relating to manual handling.
* Conduct research and audit for manual handling education.
* Line management of junior staff within the department.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Assist with planning, development, delivery, and assessment of manual handling education programs.
* Set up and maintain equipment for teaching sessions.
* Update lesson plans and teaching resources.
* Plan, organize, and schedule simulated clinical assessments.
* Possess high levels of developed manipulation and dexterity skills for educating healthcare professionals.
* Influence patient and clinical safety through effective education and assessment programs.
* Continually seek to improve education quality through evidence-based practice.

* Act as a role model to enhance knowledge of others in manual handling issues.
* Act as a mentor to healthcare professionals wishing to further their teaching skills.
* Develop specialist knowledge across a range of procedures related to manual handling education.
