Financial Controller
A well-established organisation with an opportunity for a Financial Controller in a broad role, combining management accounting and managing a team.
Annual Report & Accounts - Produce the Annual Report & Accounts under FRS102 standards, whilst managing related processes.
Management Accounts - Prepare and present the monthly management accounts and supporting Board MI.
Team Management - Enhance the capabilities of the finance team and continuously improve the finance control framework.
Accounting Operations - Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
Budgeting & Planning - Support annual P&L and balance sheet budgeting and, the 5-year planning process with insights on margins, costs, and accounting adjustments.
Cost Analysis - Create detailed cost packs for cost centre owners and assist the Head of FP&A with in-depth analysis of cost performance versus budget.
Strategic Projects - Support the Change Committee by evaluating cost versus budget performance for key strategic projects, ensuring value for money.
Tax & VAT - Ensure timely submission and payment of corporation tax and VAT returns.
Treasury Transactions - Oversee the accounting of treasury transactions, ensuring all checks are completed and segregation of duties is maintained.
Audit Liaison - Lead interactions with external auditors and internal auditors.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
Substantial experience and advanced skills in Excel
