Role Overview:
We are seeking a commercially driven, experienced, and tenacious Area Sales Manager to oversee sales and client relationships across the North of England and Midlands. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of your region, influence strategic direction, and work closely with a supportive leadership team in a high-impact commercial position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and grow customer accounts across your territory through regular, high-quality engagement.
* Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned with company-wide commercial goals.
* Identify and develop new sales opportunities across utilities companies, contractors, and builders merchants.
* Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Internal Sales Team to ensure high service standards and quick turnaround times.
* Deliver consistent performance against quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Lead CPD sessions and Lunch & Learn presentations to educate and engage stakeholders.
* Track and report on pipeline, forecasting, and opportunities using CRM tools, Power BI, and Roveel.
* Ensure compliance with pricing structures, call plans, and quotation procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of B2B field sales experience within civil engineering, utilities, merchant supply, manufacturing, or related sectors.
* Proven success in territory and account management, with a strong sales track record.
* Strong business development and relationship-building skills across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Experience selling into builders merchants, contractors, and/or utilities clients.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organised.
* Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI or Roveel is a plus.
* Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel and stay overnight where required.
