Job Overview
West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced finance professional passionate about property and financial reporting to join as a Service Lead in our Finance and Property Service. This role involves supporting the Service Director in managing financial reporting and property services, leading a team to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, and overseeing property-related matters within the council.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the financial reporting team to produce accurate and timely financial reports.
2. Oversee property management activities and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
3. Support the Service Director in strategic financial planning and reporting.
4. Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
* Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Experience in property management or understanding of property legislation is advantageous.
