Previous experience in installing, integrating, and testing EPoS hardware/software is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Relevant experience in IT Technical Support, Electronic Equipment Installation, or similar environments is important.

Salary: £27,057 per annum (including On-Call Supplement)

Working Hours: 13-hour shifts, 3 days on/3 days off rota (including weekends and bank holidays)

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer / Field Support Technician to identify and resolve hardware/software issues, repair devices, and interact with clients professionally. Responsibilities include visiting customer sites to install, maintain, and refurbish various technical equipment such as EPoS systems, chip and pin devices, tablets, digital signage, routers, Wi-Fi, and other IT equipment.
You will also conduct site surveys and audits to determine installation or service requirements. Successful candidates will be provided with a brand-new van equipped with modern amenities to facilitate on-site work.

Duties
* Conduct daily visits to install, refurbish, and maintain EPoS, chip and pin devices, tablets, digital signage, routers, Wi-Fi, and related IT equipment.
* Perform equipment swaps on-site to minimize downtime.
* Set up Wi-Fi and troubleshoot network cabling issues.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary.
* Document troubleshooting steps and obtain client sign-off.
Requirements
Experience in retail/hospitality EPoS installation preferred but not essential; relevant experience in IT support, telecoms, or broadband environments is acceptable. Additional EPoS training will be provided. Must be willing to travel daily, possess a logical troubleshooting approach, and have experience with data network faults. Prior roles as IT Support, Network, or Telecoms Engineer are highly desirable.
