A well-established and growing engineering business based in the South West is looking to expand its workshop team. The Role
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy production environment. The role focuses on the build and assembly of bespoke machinery, working from detailed engineering drawings and contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality, precision-engineered equipment.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter:
* Assemble special purpose machinery and sub-assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications
* Fit mechanical components including bearings, gears, and taper lock pulleys
* Install pneumatic and hydraulic pipework as part of machine builds
* Carry out quality checks and maintain a safe, organised working environment
Requirements of the Mechanical Fitter:
1. Time-served Mechanical Fitter or Engineer with a recognised mechanical qualification
