Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Systems Engineer Verification & Validation to join our proactive and innovative team.
This role provides holistic lifecycle Systems Engineering support for activities within the customer's program.
While not a pure systems engineering role, it requires a systems thinking mindset and the application of related methods, approaches, tools, and techniques.
Responsibilities
* V&V
o Verify and validate real-time systems and software for next-generation containment gloveboxes.
o Design and implement test cases for safety-critical systems and software.
* System Concepts
o Support project-specific system solutions, ensuring opportunities for standardisation across projects.
o Utilise tools like Functional Means Analysis, N2 Analysis, and Decision Matrices to promote standardisation.
* System Design
o Champion principles such as reducing variability in equipment, maximising common subsystems, and utilising COTS/MOTS solutions.
* Detail Design
o Leverage PLM systems for design comparison and standardisation between projects.
* Evolution of Design
o Reduce diversity of equipment and promote standardisation in future design revisions.
Qualifications
* BEng or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Communications.
Essential Skills
* Requirements and Use Case analysis, system architecture, performance assessment, and verification & validation.
* Experience with MBSE, testing real-time software, and tools like VectorCast and DOORS.
* Problem-solving skills, safety-critical software experience, and good communication skills.
Desired Skills
* Experience with EA Sparx, PLM software, and holistic lifecycle management.
* Knowledge of delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, DevOps.
* Understanding of cross-domain requirements and interfaces.
Experience
* Experience in the Nuclear and Civil Engineering industries.
* Knowledge of hardware/software lifecycle and MBSE.
Pre-requisites
* Must hold or be eligible for security clearance.
