About the role
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to lead, develop, and support the Group’s Payroll Function.
You will drive continuous improvement, delivering a modern system with technology-enabled processes.
Reporting to the People Shared Services Lead, you will deliver services in line with standards agreed with JRHT and JRF. You will be the organisational owner of the HR/Payroll system and data, including maintaining and upgrading all HRIS systems.
The payroll team provides an end-to-end UK payroll operation to both JRF and JRHT, ensuring organisational and colleague expectations are met, alongside statutory and regulatory compliance responsibilities.
About you
You will have extensive experience as a Payroll Manager in various organisations, with deep knowledge of payroll management and administration. You should be able to lead by example and share your payroll expertise with the team.
You will have practical awareness of HMRC & payroll legislation and regulations, understanding their implications for workplace processes. A strong understanding of Payroll & HR systems and their potential to improve and streamline processes is essential.
You will be a confident communicator with experience managing and inspiring a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You should be able to work independently, solve problems, and demonstrate operational and strategic skills, supported by strong analytical abilities.
