We are looking for a motivated and organised Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our Housing Needs team. This role plays a key part in managing placements into temporary accommodation, ensuring households are supported during their stay, and working towards sustainable move-on options. Key Responsibilities Manage placements into temporary and emergency accommodation, ensuring allocations are appropriate and comply with legislation and policy. Support households placed in temporary accommodation, responding to queries and addressing any tenancy or property-related issues. Carry out property inspections and ensure accommodation standards are met. Monitor rent accounts, arrears, and housing benefit claims, providing advice and support to residents on financial matters. Work collaboratively with housing providers, landlords, and support services to ensure positive outcomes for residents. Assist with move-on planning, rehousing, and homelessness prevention where possible. Maintain accurate casework records and contribute to service performance targets.About You Experience working within housing, homelessness, or tenancy management. Knowledge of homelessness legislation, temporary accommodation duties, and welfare benefits. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work empathetically with vulnerable households.
