Our Assistant Store Managers support the Store Manager to run the store, drive sales, maximise profit, and lead the team. This role offers a stepping stone towards becoming a Store Manager.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Store Manager in creating a service culture that puts the customer first.
* Enable the team to recommend additional services such as omni-channel selling.
* Support recruitment and help build a diverse, passionate team.
* Drive sales, profitability, and KPI achievement.
* Coach and develop staff through regular 1:1s.
* Communicate store performance and provide feedback to stakeholders.
* Implement visual merchandising standards and maximise commercial opportunities.
* Manage store operations: stock, loss prevention, incident reporting, health & safety, GDPR, cash handling, key holder duties.
* Act as key-holder and run day‑to‑day store when required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience leading a team at supervisor level or above, preferably in retail or equivalent environment.
* Demonstrated ability to drive KPI achievement and manage budgets.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust within the team.
* Strong retail, product knowledge and commercial mindset.
