Main duties and responsibilities
As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will:
* Work with fresh seasonal food and deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the typical long hours and split shifts.
* Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus, tailoring menus with residents’ preferences.
* Help to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, work within budget, and lead and motivate a team.
* Contribute to delivering person-centred hospitality and maintain high standards across services.

* Prepare and cook fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes.
* Create a warm, efficient and welcoming environment.
* Work within budget and complete regular audits.

Need to have (Qualifications)
* A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing.
* Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
* Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
* A good understanding of nutrition.
* Experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
* The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home.
* Good understanding of HACCP.
