Optical Assistant Egham, TW20 9H
Salary up to £25,708.80 per annum (rising to £26,644.80 once you complete our Front of House Development course). We are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team in Egham, working 5 days a week (Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5:30pm).

As our Optical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for clients, greeting them in person or over the phone with a friendly smile. You will listen to their needs, work closely with the team to find the best solutions, and ensure a high level of service throughout their journey with us. Experience in dispensing single focus, multi-focal, and contact lenses is required. Strong IT skills and excellent communication are essential to build relationships with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service
* Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and optical products
* Dispense single focus, multi-focal, and contact lenses
* Schedule appointments and manage bookings
* Maintain product displays and store presentation
* Handle administrative tasks such as payments and orders

* Previous experience in optical retail
What We Offer:
We provide a supportive, fun, and professional environment, including participation in our Front of House Development course. This training covers client journey, contact lenses, eye anatomy, spectacle frames, and lenses, along with hands-on workshops and networking opportunities. You will also learn about audiology and visit Zeiss Offices in Birmingham to explore their lenses. The program concludes with practical application in a learning practice under guidance.
