Roles And Responsibilities
* Reading project specific consultant specification.
* Reading and reviewing project specific drawings, documents, and proposals.
* Applying fire alarm and gas suppression knowledge to design systems.
* The production of 3D models and ongoing co‑ordination with the client and other trades during the development of the contract design.
* Being in contact with suppliers to ensure you are up to date with the latest market developments and products.
* Maybe required to travel abroad for client meetings.
* Liaising with clients.
* Attending online and in person meetings.
* Dialogue with project and sales teams.
* Internal handover meetings upon project award.
Essential Skills
* Understanding of Fire Alarm and Gas Suppression related standards BS5839, BS6266, BS7273, BSEN15004 etc.
* Use of AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks for 2D and 3D design work.
* Qualifications in industry standard and products would be an advantage.
* Previous experience in the fire alarm industry.
* Understanding of the commercial implications of what you are designing.
* A can‑do hands‑on attitude.
* Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly approach.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and work as a team.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
* Reliability.
