About the Role
EKFB has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80 km section of the new high‑speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. The site engineer will be based in Chipping Warden and must have experience working within highways and deep drainage works.
As site engineer you will coordinate and support the M&E works, including:
* liaising with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to meet required standards, programme and budget;
* working with the setting‑out team and overseeing the performance and development of M&E sub‑contractors;
* resolving technical problems on site in liaison with senior team members and the Sub‑Agent;
* specifying and coordinating varied contractors to ensure smooth delivery in a just‑in‑time fashion;
* providing the team with up‑to‑date information and resources, and assisting with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contributing to financial forecasting.
About You
* HNC/Degree (Construction/M&E related) or equivalent;
* you must hold a CSCS card (White, White‑Yellow, Red – Experienced, Black – Manager or Gold – Supervisor);
* previous structures experience is preferred;
* demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities within highways and deep drainage works;
* you must hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
