Role Responsibilities
* Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client portfolio, including SMEs, corporate entities, and not-for-profit organisations
* Preparing financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS
* Reviewing work completed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and mentorship
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and offering expert audit advice
* Assisting with risk assessments and audit planning, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
* Working closely with senior management and partners to identify opportunities for adding value to clients
* Staying up to date with audit regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance at all times

Candidate Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified, or a finalist with relevant experience in a UK accountancy practice
* Experience leading external audits, ideally within a mid-tier or independent firm
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships confidently
* Leadership qualities, with experience mentoring and supporting junior staff
* Proficiency in audit software and accounting platforms such as CCH, CaseWare, or similar
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
