Job Description

* Assist in developing and implementing category management strategies to support business objectives.
* Support supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes to ensure value for money.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and align sourcing activities.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within assigned categories.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues to maintain strong relationships.
* Prepare and present reports on category performance and cost savings.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Category Manager should have:


* Experience or knowledge in procurement, supply chain, or category management.
* An understanding of the financial services industry or similar sectors.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.
* Proficiency with procurement tools and software is desirable.

* Relevant educational qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or business-related fields.
