Second Line Support Technician
Location: Rochester / Canterbury (Office-based with client site travel)Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
Are you an experienced Second Line Support Technician with a background in MSP environments? We’re working with a well established managed service provider looking to add a proactive and technically strong individual to their growing team.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll support a diverse client base across commercial and education sectors, delivering high-quality IT support both remotely and on-site.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in delivering reliable and efficient IT support, working independently and collaboratively to resolve a wide range of technical issues.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1st and 2nd line support to a varied client baseDiagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issuesSupporting Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure)Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment and network infrastructureMonitoring system performance and carrying out maintenance and upgradesManaging and updating helpdesk tickets and fault logsSupporting printers, cabling, and on-site infrastructureLiaising with third-party suppliers and contractors when requiredAbout You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment and can confidently manage workloads both independently and as part of a team.
You’ll ideally have:
3–5 years’ MSP experience (essential)Strong knowledge of:Windows Client & Server OSMicrosoft 365 & AzureNetworking (LAN/WAN, wireless & wired technologies)Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and a client-focused approachGood organisational and time management abilitiesA proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset
Requirements:
Full UK driving licenceWillingness to travel between client sitesAbility to obtain an enhanced DBS checkMicrosoft certifications (desirable)Educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent)
