A well-established and highly regarded multi-disciplinary property and rural consultancy is seeking a Planning Consultant to join its growing planning team based in Shrewsbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional to join a busy and expanding department, working across a wide variety of planning projects throughout the Midlands. The role offers exposure to projects across the residential, commercial, leisure and agricultural sectors, alongside clear opportunities for career progression within a supportive and reputable consultancy environment.
The Role
* Preparing, submitting and managing planning applications and planning appeals
* Delivering a broad range of planning consultancy services across residential, commercial, leisure and rural developments
* Working closely with technical specialists, consultants and stakeholders throughout the planning process
* Representing clients at planning committees, appeal hearings and examinations where required
* Advising landowners and clients on planning strategy, land promotion and development opportunities
* Supporting projects involving strategic land and site promotion across the Midlands
* Managing multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of client service
About You
* A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
* Working towards or holding RTPI membership
* Experience preparing and managing planning applications
* A strong understanding of the UK planning system and development process
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong organisation and project management abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* A full UK driving licence
