This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and related needs, including speech and language difficulties, sensory challenges, and behavioural regulation. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver individualised lessons for students with complex needs, particularly autism spectrum conditions Establish consistent routines and use visual supports to aid communication and understanding Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to deliver holistic, consistent support Track pupil progress in line with EHCP goals and personalised learning targets Implement evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, independence, and social skills Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment Engage in professional development and contribute to ongoing school improvement initiatives Requirements QTS is desirable but not essential - would consider unqualified.
