SEN Teacher Full-Time | Permanent | Start Date: September 2025 Location: Rickmansworth The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity has opened for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a well-respected specialist school in Rickmansworth this September. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and related needs, including speech and language difficulties, sensory challenges, and behavioural regulation. You'll be part of a nurturing and supportive environment with small class sizes, excellent staff-to-student ratios, and a focus on personalised learning. The school values collaboration and strives to create structured, engaging experiences that help every student reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver individualised lessons for students with complex needs, particularly autism spectrum conditions Establish consistent routines and use visual supports to aid communication and understanding Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to deliver holistic, consistent support Track pupil progress in line with EHCP goals and personalised learning targets Implement evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, independence, and social skills Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment Engage in professional development and contribute to ongoing school improvement initiatives Requirements QTS is desirable but not essential - would consider unqualified.
