We are looking a Doctor who is qualified as sexual offences forensic medical examiner (SOFME), with experience in adult, paediatric, or combined adult and paediatric cases.
Role overview: the FME will be responsible for:
* Conducting forensic medical examinations for individuals who have experienced sexual assault or rape
* Providing telephone advice and support as required
* Completing all relevant documentation and administrative processes
* Collecting forensic evidence in accordance with national standards
* Using specialist equipment, including the colposcope, during examinations
This is a vital role within a multidisciplinary team, supporting a trauma-informed and patient-centred service.
