This is a Permanent, Full-Time vacancy that will close in 16 days at 23:59 BST.
The Role
The operations team is a core part of the Auction business, comprising various functions such as Yard team, Inspections, VCP, and Imaging. Team members are responsible for ensuring all processes within their department run efficiently to support the smooth operation of daily activities. The role involves ensuring sales are delivered successfully in line with vendor SLA requirements and maintaining high customer service standards.
Scope of Role
Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of yard operations through timely vehicle movements, adhering to auction processes, procedures, and HSE requirements at all times.
Objectives for Role
* Arrange and support the organization and display of vehicles prior to auction for the company and vendors.
* Drive vehicles as instructed by your line manager, provided you are licensed to do so (including collections/deliveries).
* Assist in maneuvering vehicles to maintain a tidy and orderly yard appearance.
* Ensure all vehicles are correctly presented with appropriate paperwork, such as pre-sale literature.
* Follow the onsite process for key storage, ensuring keys can be tracked and traced.
* Drive properly in line with site rules, policies, and HSE requirements, respecting all vehicles and adhering to security protocols, especially regarding vehicle security and keys.
* Support the valet team by locating and moving vehicles as needed.
* Observe all health and safety rules, promoting a safe working environment for others.
* Support/operate processes related to imagery, pre-inspection, and other auction operations, including customer collections/deliveries and general duties.
* Support/operate entry/exit control areas and key holding areas within the operations function.
* Assist with stock checks and reconciliation processes.
* Maintain a calm, polite, and courteous manner when dealing with customers and team members.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Move vehicles promptly to ensure operational efficiency.
* Have a basic knowledge of HSE legislation.
* Operate required technology hardware for operational functions.
* Ability to drive various vehicles with different ignition procedures and transmissions.
