About the role:
We seek an experienced and dynamic Head of Application Modernisation & Strategy to lead our efforts in optimizing our Cloud applications and streamlining our technologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring our technology is agile, efficient, and future-ready.
1. Lead strategy and execution of application modernisation and rationalisation initiatives.
2. Simplify and optimise existing cloud applications to enhance performance and scalability.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for cloud architecture.
4. Drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with standards and security protocols, and foster innovation in cloud technologies.
5. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and architects, staying abreast of emerging trends in cloud computing.
Skills and experience required:
1. Proven experience in cloud application modernisation and simplification.
2. Strong leadership and engineering skills.
3. Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
5. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
