The Role: Seize the opportunity to champion "earned first" thinking for a leading FMCG brand. We’re seeking a visionary Account Director to create culturally resonant, high-impact consumer PR campaigns that become part of the zeitgeist.
Responsibilities include managing day-to-day client relationships, driving innovative strategies that generate buzz and deliver measurable results, fostering an empowering team culture, and ensuring high-quality work that meets client expectations. You’ll align client objectives with internal creative powerhouses and inspire clients to achieve bold, culturally relevant campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspire & Lead: Mentor a team to develop and execute breakthrough, "earned first" PR & Influence campaigns.
* Client Partnership: Build trusted advisor relationships with clients, understanding their business and anticipating their needs. Guide them across media communications.
* Creative Strategy: Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling narratives and assets that resonate with target audiences.
* Data-Driven Optimization: Monitor campaign performance, leveraging data and analytics to optimize results and demonstrate ROI.
* Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying new opportunities and approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness.
* Budget Management: Manage client budgets effectively, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
* New Business: Support new business efforts, participating in pitches and developing compelling proposals.
* Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis management plans to protect client reputation.
* Inclusivity: Champion inclusiveness, diversity, and equity in all aspects of work.
* Media Relations: Maintain strong media contacts across national, regional & consumer lifestyle outlets and engage with contacts to garner feedback or pitch stories.
* Integration: Cross-channel collaboration with Influence & Organic social specialists, and cross-agency collaboration with paid media & experiential partners.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in consumer PR and influence, with a proven track record of driving successful campaigns.
* Share and use media knowledge to guide clients on what you believe is best for their brand.
* Deep understanding of consumer behavior and ability to develop creative strategies that resonate with target audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to think "earned first" and create campaigns that generate organic buzz.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Data-driven mindset and analytical skills.
* Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
* Experience in crisis management.
