People Advisor - 6 month FTC

The Role
As a People Advisor, you’ll provide professional HR support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation while supporting business objectives.
You’ll act as a first point of contact for managers, supporting employee relations matters, contributing to people projects and helping to drive continuous improvement across HR processes and systems.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Advising and supporting managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals and redundancies
* Managing long-term sickness absence cases, including occupational health referrals and return-to-work planning
* Supporting the review and development of HR policies and procedures
* Providing guidance on performance management and absence processes
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting process enhancements
* Building reports and dashboards within the HRIS to provide meaningful people insights
* Using data to support decision-making and improve HR outcomes
* Supporting monthly HR reporting for senior stakeholders
* Assisting with annual reporting requirements, including gender pay gap reporting
* Working with Learning & Development to support manager training and development initiatives
* Supporting HR system implementation and continuous improvement of HRIS and benefits platforms
* Ensuring HR audit actions are completed and reported accurately
You’ll work closely with the wider People Team and stakeholders across the business to deliver a proactive, efficient and commercially focused HR service.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a proactive and organised HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll need:
* CIPD Level 5 qualification
* Strong knowledge and practical application of UK employment law
* Experience supporting employee relations cases
* Experience delivering or supporting HR-related projects
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
* Good analytical skills and experience working with HR data and reporting
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* A collaborative, hands-on approach with a focus on practical solutions
* Ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels
