Overview

We are recruiting for Quality Managers to support our depots – Crawley, Northampton, Southampton and Manchester with potential travel to other SMO locations as needed. The role focuses on process and delivery quality, customer satisfaction, cost of quality and NCRs, and authorisation to stop processes, projects and products that deviate from quality standards and requirements.
Role scope includes leading design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality processes to support project delivery and governance across the unit, customers, partners and suppliers.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Logistics, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and relevant suppliers to achieve quality goals.
* Adapting and providing a project-specific management system including project documentation, regulations and methods, following a risk-based approach.
* Coaching project teams in agile/lean methods, acting as a SCRUM master in projects, driving lessons learned, and promoting a quality-oriented mindset.
* Managing non-conformances (NC) and implementing quality improvement methods; integrating project quality reporting with overall project reporting (e.g. 8D, RCA, FMEA).
* Contributing to project planning to ensure quality requirements are considered from sales through execution, providing real-time transparency for analysis and improvement.
* Initiating training for project employees on quality methods and processes; coordinating and leading functional teams to resolve customer complaints and sustain KPIs.
* Developing, controlling and implementing a quality plan for the project in line with the QM system, approved with the business, customers, partners and suppliers.
* Performing audits of products, processes or systems to identify risks and non-conformances; leading internal audits of the Business Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, RISQS) and external audits as required.
Your success will be grounded by
* A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations or Quality related topic
* Experience with Lean methods in a project-related environment
* Experience and qualification in internal auditing to ISO standards
* Ability to interface with and influence colleagues across the fleet from Technicians to Fleet Delivery Manager
* Experience in advanced quality/safety-critical manufacturing environments (e.g. automotive, aerospace, pharma, hazardous areas) with practical APQP-style processes
* Strong knowledge of core quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, 5Why, Value Stream Management)

* Developing, controlling and implementing a quality plan for the project from the existing QM system, in agreement with business, customer, partners and suppliers
* Auditing products, processes or systems to identify risks and non-conformances; leading internal audits of management systems and external audits as required
We expect
* A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations or Quality
