Criminal Law Paralegal or Solicitor
This position is based in the Crime department and answers to ourHead of Department. Our Head of Department is internationally renownedcriminal solicitor who has been practicing for number of years. You willbe located at our either Bradford or Manchester Office but may at timesbe required to travel to our other offices. This role is not a remoteworking role.
Responsibilities:
Handle a caseload of criminal defence matters. Conduct legalresearch, draft legal documents, and provide sound legal advice toclients. Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings,trials, and mediations. Collaborate with colleagues and externalstakeholders to achieve favourable outcomes for clients. Maintainaccurate and detailed records of case progress and communications withclients.
Requirements:
Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 year of post-qualificationexperience in criminal defence. We would consider a paralegal with 1year of experience. Our ideal candidate should also be police stationaccredited or someone who wish to undertake this course.
Strong knowledge of criminal procedure rules and relevant laws.Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills. Proven track recordof successfully handling a variety of crime cases. Exceptionalcommunication and advocacy skills. Ability to work independently and aspart of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providingexceptional client service and achieving positive results. Willingnessto continuously learn and adapt to new challenges in the legal field.
