Systems Technician
Are you an accurate and quality-oriented technician seeking a role within an organization where your work will make a real difference? We are looking for a self-motivated Systems Technician educated to HNC level or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering, to join our Technical Operations Team. The role covers the Northwest region and may occasionally support other areas in the UK.
We require someone used to a fast-paced environment, customer-focused, and able to build good working relationships with internal colleagues and customers. Ideally, you will have experience working in a medical devices environment or servicing medical equipment, with a focus on continual improvement. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across the Northwest and occasionally other UK areas; a UK driving licence is essential. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours, with a 24/7 on-call rota.
Role Responsibilities
* Ensure all reactive customer support, installation, and evaluation requirements are completed per FME policies and procedures.
* Maximize equipment uptime by performing high-quality standard and reactive service work within contracted timescales.
* Observe and apply all FME ‘Lean Service’ initiatives, processes, and tools as directed.
* Complete TAM documentation and ensure service reports are accurate and timely.
* Assist in technical upgrades and modifications of equipment.
* Participate in the acceptance and commissioning of new business awards.
* Be part of the 24/7 on-call rota.
